More Space, Please.
Nearly six years ago we realized that we had outgrown our 3-bedroom home. If you ask my husband, Ron, he will tell you that I outgrew it (insert eye roll). Fast-forward to today, and we’ve been in our current home for 5.5 years and have added our son, Reacher, into the mix. Our current 4-bedroom is great, but we now have a toddler on the move and he needs more space to play. When we had the house built, we decided to leave the basement unfinished. At the time, it seemed like an unnecessary expense. But, now we see some serious potential to make our dream of a home theater and a play room a reality.
After “interviewing” four contractors, we found the right match. We found someone who is going to help us completely customize our basement to fit our needs. It’s amazing just how much goes into finishing a space. But, we’ve had fun designing custom furniture, picking hardware, paint colors, and [im]patiently waiting for the finished result! Here are a couple of images that have inspired our design:
It will be so nice to have one level that’s open and safe for Reacher to play freely. Eeeee I’m so excited to see more progress!
